| Lasik Update
It's been approximately 4 days since my Lasik procedure and I've been recovering well. My original vision was 20/200 (-7.5d contacts) and now I'm seeing 20/20 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left eye. However, since I'm still in the healing process, I'm not sure what my vision will settle at quite yet.
Looking back, the procedure was relatively painless, but there was some discomfort during the creation of the corneal flap. The total lasik surgical portion took 13 minutes and I could notice a difference in my vision immediately after I sat up from the chair. I'm still a bit light sensitive and I'd say that there is a 25% increase in "haloing" around incandescent and flourescent light sources (I was told this will diminish as my cornea stops swelling).
I'll give another update after my 1 week check-up.

| 2007 Pumpkin Carving
last year's pumpkin:
Whew, another fun Halloween Pumpkin Carving. I think I did a pretty good job this year considering how detailed the design was compared to last year's pumpkin. I definitely need some improvement on my shaving technique, as I almost punched through the wall of the pumpkin this year. Hopefully, I'll attempt something a little more difficult next year. If you are wondering why I chose Leonardo, it was hand picked by a 3yr old (who happens to like TMNT). |
